Mrs. Mildred Jane Gunter, age 73, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 27, 2023 at the local hospital. She was born March 26, 1950 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Frank William and Betty Vineyard Cross. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gerry Lee Gunter, brothers, Roger William Cross, Frank Marvin Cross, James "Bo" Cross.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Gunter of the residence; son and daughters-in-law, Johnny "Scooter" and Paige Gunter of Cleveland, TN, Pam Gunter of Dalton, GA; sister, Linda Cross of Dalton, GA; brothers; George Cross, Richard Cross of Dalton, GA, Robert Cross of Alabama; sister-in-law, Linda Gunter of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Daphne and Anson High, Courtney and Kevin Garrett of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Brevin, Ashton, Anslei, Talon, Tucker, Tayleigh; nieces and nephews.

To celebrate the life of Mrs. Mildred Jane Gunter the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday November 1, 2023.
