Mrs. Mildred Davis age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the local hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born September 23, 1935 in Murray County, a daughter of the late William Dawson and Bonnie Smith Cloer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Joseph Davis, son, Terry Lee Rogers, daughter, Jennifer Leigh Davis. She was a member of the Cross Point Christian Center.

She is survived by her son, Earl William Rogers of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and John Hollums, Mary and Michael Dunn of Dalton, GA; daughter-in-law, Cathi Rogers of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Katheryn Ailene and James Scott of Villanow, GA, Edna Sue Ward of Coleman, AL, Margie Lee Ledford of Ringgold, GA, Wanda Faye Caylor of Dalton, GA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mildred Davis will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Clyde Richmond officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 P.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday May 7, 2013.
