Mr. Michael Wilson, age 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1949 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a son of the late Nathaniel Wilson and Ethel Mallory Ruffin. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Beulah Tyson, sister Delores Mallory.

A Chattanooga native and of the Baptist faith, he joined his heavenly father. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He was known and respected on the CB airway and in the community as GI Joe, and his distinctive voice, personality and presence will be missed.

He lives behind his loving and devoted wife Chris Wilson; daughters, Denise Wilson, Pagedi Wilson-Brady, Michelle Roberts; grandchildren, Michael Wilson and Ja Quesha Johnson; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way; cousin, RS and Margaret Ruffin.

The CB family truly was worldwide, 509, Papa J, Double G, Horseshoe, Ragu, Baldhead, Tomahawk, Bulldog, Predator, to name a few. All of you assisted with his forever expanding base station. Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Wilson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 19, 2024 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Denny Smith officiating.
