Mr. Michael Eugene Ward , age 48, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, October 30, 2021 at his residence. His long fight is over. Mike was born August 3, 1973 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Eugene Ward. Mike was a true outdoorsman and lived to be on the Lake fishing.

He is survived by his beloved children, Megan Ward of Dalton, GA, Michael Ward of Kentucky; mother, Joanne Olive of Dalton, GA; stepmother, Ruthie Ward; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela and Larry Fowler of Rocky Face, GA, Tammy Roach of Dalton, GA, April and Derrick Hobbs of Chatsworth, GA, Lucky and Patrick Miolen of Dalton, GA; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Chattanooga Palliative Care for the support and care they provided Mike over the last few years.

Graveside service will held Thursday November 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Craig Bennett, Larry Fowler, Derrick Hobbs and Patrick Miolen serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
