Mr. Michael Hamilton Thomason, age 71, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1949 in Chatsworth, GA a son of the late LB and Althea Sanford Thomason. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Thomason; daughters and son-in-law, Kerri and Drew Thomas of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Linda Thomason of Dalton, GA, Jim Thomason, Johnny Thomason of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Kati Roberts, Shalin Bergeman, Kinsey Roberts, Gunnar Thomason, Keagan Thomason, Ethan Thomas, Evan Thomas, Kahlan Thomas; great grandchildren, Haiden, Savannah, Megan, Adeline, Gypsy; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Hamilton Thomason will be held Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
