Michael David Rich, 48, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life suddenly, Monday morning, December 4, 2017 at Murray Medical Center. Michael was born May 9, 1969in Blairsville, Georgia, the son of the late Paul Rich and Joyce Nix.

He had been employed with Beatrise Pet Products in Chatsworth.

Michael is survived by his mother and step-father who raised him from his youth, Joyce Nix and Lloyd Morgan of Chatsworth; his girl-friend of over 16 years, Meda Cuzzort of Crandall, Georgia; a sister, Carole Lee Rich of Chatsworth; Meda's children, who he considered his own, Patrick Cuzzort, Jacob Picklesimer, and Sara Browley.

Services to celebrate the life of Michael Rich will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Davenport officiating. He will be laid to rest at Cohutta Hills Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, December 9, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
