Mr. Michael Joseph Kost., age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 19, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lorene Kost, wife Brenda S. Kost, daughter Kathleen M. Burgoyne, brother Tom Kost.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela L. and Drew Hunter; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Beth Kost of Dalton, GA; sister, Patricia Usnick of Virginia; grandchildren, Danny Burgoyne, Michael C. Kost, Andrew J. Hunter, Amanda Leigh Hunter, Cheyenne Burgoyne, Quinalan Kost, Kaden Kost; great grandchildren, Karlee, Joseph, Madison, Noah, Skylar; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Joseph Kost will be held Thursday March 6, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dunagan Cemetery with Danny Burgoyne, Michael Kost, Andrew Hunter, Quinalan Kost, Michael Colvin and Jeffery Roy serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
