Mr. Michael David Harrison, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, November 15, 2020, at the local hospital. He was born June 26, 1948 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude L. Harrison, grandparents, Tom and Banksy Satterfield, stepfather, Al Brinkley. He proudly served his country from 1968 to 1970 in the 101 ^st Airborne Division of the United States Army serving a one year tour in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for twenty five years. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and paw.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kathy Garland Harrison of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and John Farmer of Chatsworth, GA, Kristi and Craig Blackwell of Dalton, GA; mother, Marie Harrison of Dalton, GA; sister, Gail Harrison of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Kaitlen and Cody Newton of Hinesville, GA, Braiden Springfield (Deliah) of Chatsworth, GA, River Blackwell of Dalton, GA; several aunts and cousins.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael David Harrison will be held Thursday November 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the United Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bruce Beach officiating. American Legion Post 112 will be in charge of Military Rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
