Mr. Michael "Doug" Douglas Eaker, Sr. age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born October 27, 1955 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late John and Mary Helen Eaker. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Harold and Mollie Langham.

Doug is survived by his wife Wylene L. Eaker of the residence; children, Michael D. Eaker Jr. and Heather Eaker of Old Fort, Tennessee, and Mathew B. and Traci Eaker of Ocoee, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Gary Hamrick of Resaca, Georgia; grandchildren, Christian Amon, Tyson Eaker, and Payton Eaker; bonus children, April and Gordy Stanley, Tara Holbrook, and Jonathan Langham; eleven bonus grandchildren; and one bonus great grandchild; very special bonus grandchildren,  Laurel Stadler and Rowan Langham; mother of his children, Joyce Eaker.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael "Doug" Douglas Eaker, Sr. will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Danny Cochran officiating. He will be laid to rest at Dawnville Cemetery with Anthony Owens, Derrick, Jason Bunch, and Jonathan Langham honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday.
