Ms. Merle Elaine Hester, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, September 15, 2017 at her home. She was born October 3, 1946 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Leonard and Patsy Gilbert Headrick. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Laverne Headrick, sister, Deborah Green. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Eason and Craig Bennett of Tunnel Hill, GA, Tracy and Julio Lopez of Chickamauga, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Bill Sumner, Bobbie Harden, Donna and Jess Quinn of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Hall, Lindsey Wimpy, Cody Renfroe, Thomas Durden, Jonathan Durden; great grandchildren, Sarah, Destin, Mackenzie, Liam, Cadence, Keely, Bentley, Braylen, Jacob; several nieces and nephews. Private family graveside will be held Wednesday September 20, 2017 at the Headrick Family Cemetery.
