Mrs. Melinda Norton, age 62, of Sugar Valley, Georgia departed this life Sunday, August 7, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 2, 1959 in Cartersville, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, Abe Hunter, mother, Louise Gibson, brothers, Robert, Henry, Roy, Jimmy and Oscar Patterson, sister, Ruby Townsend, Ruth Patterson.

She is survived by her husband, Vince Norton of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnathan and Roseanna Densmore of Cave Springs, GA, Devin and Donnie Norton of Jasper, GA; daughter, Terri Hunter of Dallas, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Patterson and Cynthia Poselenzy of Mableton, GA, Troy and Shelia Patterson of Calhoun, GA, David Patterson of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Joyce Townsend of Calhoun, GA, Brenda Sawyers of Waleska, GA; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephew.

Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
