Ms. Melinda Ann Akins Fisher, age 57, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Sunday morning, May 25, 2025, at The Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Born on April 5, 1968, in Calhoun, Georgia, Melinda was a proud 1986 graduate of Southeast High School and earned her Associate's degree from Dalton State College. She dedicated many years of service to Textile Management Associates.

Melinda was a strong, fiercely independent woman—a true warrior with an unshakable spirit. Her family was her heart, and she loved them deeply. She was especially close to her mother, and her presence was a source of strength and love to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Josh Fisher; the father of her children, Dale William Fisher; her father, Bobby Lee Akins; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff Akins and Mitchell Akins; Ronnie and Virginia Dyer, Dana Dyer; and her stepmother, Betty Akins.

Melinda is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie Fisher of Chatsworth, GA; her devoted mother and stepfather, Joann and Estes Pass of Calhoun, GA; her companion, Jonathan Cline of Chatsworth, GA: daughter-in-law, Veronica Banks of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; grandchildren, Faith Martin, Hope Martin, Levi Johnson, Dominic Banks, Trinity Scroggins, and Gabbi Banks; brother, Allan Dyer of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Joi and Mart Townsend of Calhoun, GA; sister-in-law, Becky Akins of Calhoun, GA; niece and nephews, Holly and Eddie Van Develder, Jacob Townsend and Blayde Townsend all of Calhoun, GA; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025.
