Mrs. Maxine Wilson Perry, age 98, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Monday, September 18, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 16, 1925 in Jamestown, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Perry, her parents, Zelmer and Altha Crouch Wilson, son Larry Gray, granddaughter, Tamara Price, brother and sister-in-law, Cordell and Helen Wilson, sister and brother-in-law, Opal Nell and Will Bottoms.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Stella Reece, Mary and Robert Carroll of Chatsworth, GA, Patricia Perry of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Terrie and Ricky Pendergrass, Paula and Wayne Wright, Tasha and Forest Barmore, Shannon and Jeremy Mooney, Shanda and Michael Harris, Amy and Heath Smith, Jerry Gray and Jada Burke, fourteen great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren; nephew and niece, Gene and Beverly Bottoms of Oneida, TN; several other nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Maxine Wilson Perry will be held Friday evening, September 22, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Mark Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Friday until the service hour.

She will be laid to rest with her family at the Wolf River Cemetery, in Fentress, Tennessee, on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Gene Bottoms, Caleb Sheriff, Nicky Wallace, Jeremy Mooney, Heath Smith and David Sheriff honored to serve as pallbearers.
