Mr. Max Gene Postelle, age 77, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 01, 2021 at the local hospital. He was born November 2, 1943 in Mineral Bluff, GA, a son of the late Christopher and Florence Postelle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, J.T. Postelle, Will Postelle, Ken Postell, sister, Reathel Postelle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margie Postelle of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Debra Postelle of Ringgold, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Christopher Sirmans of Cohutta, GA; sister, Betty Henderson of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Lance Postelle of Ringgold, GA, Chloe Sirmans of Athens, GA, Sophia Sirmans, Josie Sirmans of Cohutta, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Max Gene Postelle will be held Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Larry Green officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Christopher Sirmans, Tim Postelle, Brody Sherrill, Colton Sherrrill, Ken Jones and David Morones serving as pallbearers.
