Mrs. Maudie Ann Jones, age 80, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the local hospital. Maudie was born February 14, 1934 in Carpenter, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Garrett Carpenter and Luiza Paul Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Columbus Jones, sons, Thomas Alvin Jones and Samuel C. Jones.
She is survived by his brother Dave Jones of Dalton, GA. and his fianc Debbie Rogers of Benton, Tn., sisters Zona Terry of Dalton, GA and Lola Murphy; grandchildren, Misty and Brandon Hooker; great grandchildren, Lannie Hooker, Eric Hooker, Tyler Hooker all of Chatsworth, GA.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Maudie Ann Jones will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ronald W. Laughland officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
