Mrs. Maudie Lois "Big L" Ensley, age 74, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Sunday April 2, 2017 at the local hospital. Lois was born November 7, 1942 in Chatsworth, GA, the daughter of the late Tate Davenport and Georgia Kisselberg Davenport. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ensley; brothers, Jack Davenport, Buddy Davenport, Virgil Davenport; sisters, Marlynn Davenport, Lyndell Myers, Wilma Lyles. Lois was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church.
Mrs. Maudie Lois Ensley is survived by her son, Lloyd and Martha Ensley of Sharpsburg, GA; sisters, Icey Dill, Betty and Ray Smith of Chatsworth, GA, Brenda Jones of Dalton, GA; brothers, Hubert and Linda Davenport, Danny and Debbie Davenport all of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Sakira and Erik Rheborg, Burngandi Ensley, Andreas and Sydney Flaten; great-granddaughter, Presley Ensley, sister-in-law, Emmarie Davenport, special friends, Jackie Williams, Tony and Judy Tatum, several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Maudie Lois Ensley will be held Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Reverend Cliff Chambers officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved Husband at West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel.
