Ms. Mattie Francis Ridley Sisson, age 78, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday evening, August 22, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was born May 19, 1945 in Murray County a daughter of the late William M. Ridley and Nancy Delia Phillips.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rickie and Rhonda Garrison of Stonewall, LA, Franklin and Jeneva Long of Dalton, GA; sister, Barbara Clark of Tunnel Hill, GA; special cousin, Marlene Postell of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Randa Morgan, Lyndi Lopez, Kelli Garrison, Matthew Garrison, Aarik Long, Aarin Long; great grandchild, Rowan Morgan.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Mattie Francis Ridley Sisson will be held Saturday August 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Tony Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with Franklin Long, Aarik Long, Aarin Long, Mike Ammonett, Rethel Daves and Charlie Robinson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
