Matthew Brian Pilcher, 26, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his residence.

Matthew was born on July 3, 1993 in Dalton.  He was a son of Brian Anthony Pilcher of Dalton and Sherry Dyann Casper of Chatsworth.  He was preceded in death by grandfather, Glenn Edward Pilcher.

He was an avid gamer and loved to travel.  Matthew enjoyed playing guitar and loved to deep sea fish.

In addition to his parents Matthew is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Oscar Villela; grandparents, Gary and Essie Casper of Elberta, Alabama, and Evalea Pilcher of Dalton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Matthew Pilcher will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating.  Matthew will be laid rest at New Hope-Kilgore Cemetery in Murray County.  Colton Crider, Logan Pulliam, Jacob Kelley, and Aaron Pulliam will be honored to serve as pallbearers.

Matthew's family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2019 between the hours of 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ponders Melrose Chapel.
