Mr. Matthew David Edwards, age 20, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday December 17, 2013. Matthew was born June 27, 1993 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his papaws, Lamar Pierce and Vernon Edwards.

He is survived by parents, David Edwards and Anita Vick, step parents, Jeffery Vick and Kelly Fauscett; sister, Jade Edwards, grandparents, Sue and Howard Dockery of Dalton, GA, Sally Lybrand of Chattanooga, TN, Kim Spann of Calhoun, GA; uncles, Gary Pierce of Dalton, GA, Joseph Edwards of Calhoun, GA; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Matthew David Edwards will be held Friday December 20, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday.
