Mrs. Mary Mabel Pittman, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Quinton Memorial Health Care. She was born July 4, 1936 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter to the late Paul Skidmore Sr. and Edna Epps Skidmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Pittman, brothers, L.D. and William Skidmore.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Patterson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee Franklin and Estelle Skidmore, Paul Jr. and Elizabeth Skidmore, Charles and Shirley Ann Skidmore, Robert Skidmore all of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Mabel Pittman will be held Sunday June 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Marty Cooper officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Saturday June 11, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
