Mrs. Mary Rebecca Overton age 66, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Wednesday April 11, 2018. She was born February 11, 1952 in Dalton, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Calder, significate other, Billy Ray Austin, brother Joseph Jernigan.

She is survived by her father, Tommy Jernigan of Rome, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Billy Austin of Ooltewah, TN, Mary and Jeremy Samples of Cohutta, GA; great aunt, Mary Fair of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Brandon and Ginger Morgan, Makayla and Marciano Rivera, Dakota Morgan, Katie Glover, Johnny Glover; great grandchildren, Lee, Ayden, Kaleb, Chesney, Marina; three nieces.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Rebecca Overton will be held Monday April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Donald Oliver officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawnville Cemetery with Johnny Glover, Jeremy Samples, Billy Austin, Shane Oliver, Scott Austin and Jacob Nichols serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
