Mrs. Mary "Jane" Montgomery, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday morning, December 24, 2022, at her residence. She was born November 11, 1932 in Gilmer County a daughter of the late George and Sara Julia Padgett Goble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Red" Montgomery, brothers, Leonard, Dave, Dennis, Ben, Bill, Abe and Carl Goble, sisters, Gracy Goble, Fannie Goble Parnell, Lillie Jo Goble Stone, Florence Goble.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Montgomery; daughter Kathryn Montgomery; grandchildren, Tracy and Chas Acree; great grandchildren, Brayden Acree, Addi Acree, all of Dalton, GA; special neighbor who adopted her as her very own Mawmaw Delilah Rodriguez; several nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Pauline Washington for your relentless prayers, songs, comfort, love and unwavering friendship for our mother during the past nine years. Special niece and great nephew, Kay Calhoun and Joseph Winkler for their many years of daily phone calls, love and support.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Jane Montgomery will be held Wednesday December 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Vince Goble and Chas Acree officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the church cemetery with David Montgomery, Brayden Acree, Chas Acree, Joseph Winkler, Brian Winkler and Jeremy Cochran serving as pallbearers.
