Mrs. Mary Helen Maxwell age 69 of Dalton departed this life Sunday May 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 30, 1949 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Edward and Lucy McCurdy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Maxwell, brothers, Roy, Jerry and Larry McCurdy, sister, Pat Hilliker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kim Maxwell; daughter, Tammy Finley of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin Jack and Dee McCurdy of Dalton, GA; sisters, Betty Jackson of Chatsworth, GA, Shirley Ann Wooten of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Madison Paige Finley, Zackary Ryan Finley; special niece, Deborah Jackson Summey of Chatsworth, GA; several beloved nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Helen Maxwell will be held Tuesday May 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Chris Ross officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
