IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Lynn
Ledbetter
January 30, 1944 – June 20, 2021
Mrs. Mary Lynn Brown Ledbetter, age 77, of Dalton, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, June 20, 2021. Mary lived for the Lord for 58 years singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was an itinerant evangelist in the United States and abroad. In the 1990's she accompanied a missionary group to Jamaica, and pioneered the way for women ministers to the area. She also served in nursing home and jail ministries. Mary completed the Ministerial Affirmation Program (1999), and received her Exhorter License (2000) in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN). She served as assistant pastor of The Church of God of the New Testament in Dalton, GA for 20 years alongside her husband, Pastor Herman Ledbetter. Mary is also a member of Ringgold Church of God. She loved her family, always covering them and others with much fervent prayers that availed much. She taught God's truth and exemplified a Godly life. Mary was a strong woman of faith, and instilled in those around her that "You can trust God no matter what". Jesus was her life, and now she has received her ultimate victory to be with Him forever. We miss her so much but our hope in Jesus assures us that we will join her some day.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Dawn Ledbetter, her mother, Dorothy Miller Brown Latham and stepfather, Collier Latham.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herman Ledbetter of Dalton, GA; her daughter, Karen (Lesley) Smith of Rocky Face, GA; sons, Chris (Yvonne) Ledbetter of Ringgold, GA, Rick (Gilmara) Ledbetter of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Brenda (Ronnie) Howard of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Brandon (Nikki) Hawkins, Andrew (Kendra) Hawkins, Kayla Ledbetter, Megan (Jamie) Bearden, Amy Ledbetter, Lance Ledbetter, Nicholas (Alisha) Smith, Nathan (Carisa) Smith; great grandchildren, Stella Hawkins, Harrison Hawkins, Henry Hawkins, Fallyn Hinkamper Hawkins, Lucas Bearden, Lannie Bearden, Charis Smith; and other relatives.
