Mrs. Mary Kirksey, age 50, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the local hospital. Mary was born March 28, 1964 in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, William Bill Kirksey.
She is survived by her mother, Gertrude Harris; sons, Donald Lay, James Kirksey; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Roman Kirksey, all of Cohutta, GA, Mary Ann and Josh Autry of Daytona, FL; brother, Charles Harris; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa Harris and Roger Coggins of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Trenton and Bubba Kiker of Cohutta, GA; aunts and uncles, Maggie and Denver Smith of Dalton, GA, Jack Dorlon of Chatsworth, GA; cousin, Charlene Smith of Dalton, GA; special friends, Barbara Jones of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Fecilia Beavers of Dalton, GA; nephews, Michael Harris of Cohutta, GA, Gage Sims of Dalton, GA; many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Kirksey will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jim Herman officiating. She will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens with Roman Kiker, Jack Dorlon, Michael Harris, Denver Smith, Nathaniel Covert and Roger Coggins serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday February 15, 2015.
