Ms. Mary Edith Newton Kilby age 97, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life on Wednesday morning, January 10, 2024, at Autumn Estate Nursing Facility. She was born February 3, 1926 in Ellijay, Georgia, a daughter of the late Daniel Elbert and Rebecca Key Newton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hardie Kilby, son Donny Kilby, daughter Pat Blalock, brother Howard Newton, sisters, Carrie Johnson, Stella Mathis, Dora Allen.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Hancel Blalock; grandson, John and Jillian Kilby of Orlando, FL; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1817 Dug Gap Rd. Dalton, Georgia) with Minister Tony Mishler officiating.
