Mrs. Mary Jane Henson, age 72, of Ranger, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening, March 7, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Janie was born January 24, 1942 in, Steele, Alabama, a daughter to the late Dexter and Myrtle Clotee Hyatt. Mary was also preceded in death by a sister Eulalah Davis.

She is survived by her husband Harvey Henson of the residence, step-son and daughter in law; Keith and Sue Henson of Calhoun, GA, step-daughters and sons in law; Kimberly and Scott Childers of Calhoun, GA and Denise and Robin Lee of Dallas, GA, sisters and brother in laws; Doris and Don Fleming of Aniston, AL, Susan and Danny Cash of Ashville, AL, Myrtle Henley of Jackson Gap, AL, Clara McMurrey of Steele, AL, Dora Henderson of Phoenix City, AL, Gail and Roy Sims of Jackson Gap, AL; a brother and sister in law; Johnny and Patsy Hyatt of Steele, AL. She had five step-grandchildren; Trevor Henson, Nathaniel Tate, Caylee Childers, Matthew Johnson and Jacob Johnson as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Jane Henson will be held Monday March 10, 2014 at 3:30 pm at Maranatha Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Bankson and Reverend Mark Talley officiating. She will be laid to rest at Haven of Rest Cemetery with Craig Henson, Rodney Henson, Bobby Fleming, Curtis Fleming, Boyd McMurrey, Scott Childers and David Crosby serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
