Ms. Mary "Carolyn" Griffin, age 79, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Wednesday November 25, 2015, at her residence. Carolyn was born, February 13, 1936 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Russel and Edna Shugart Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Winfred, Lawrence and Billy Griffin, sisters, Hazel Parrot, Sybil Chestnut, Sue Gregory, Margie Farrel, Olivia Richards.

She is survived by her very close special friend, Evelyn Meeks of Dalton, GA; special nephew, Welsey Pilcher, of Dalton, GA, nephews, Jerome and Bill of Chatsworth, GA; nieces, Sheila of Dalton, Frances and Janice of Texas, Shannon and Donna of Mobile, AL; dear friends, Kim Rice, Lisa Beasley, Luke Morgan, and Dana Dockery all of North Star Hospice.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
