Mrs. Mary E. Caldwell, age 55 of Sugar Valley, GA departed this life Sunday, May 22, 2022. Mary was born December 13, 1966 in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Albert and Edna Coleman Tavares. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Beck; brother, Daniel Tavares. Mary was a loving daughter, sister and wife and for the past few years she stayed at home to take care of her husband.

Mary is survived by her husband Anthony "Tony" Caldwell of Sugar Valley, Georgia; son, Eric Beck of Blairsville, Georgia; brothers, Ronald and Sheila Tavares of Varnell, Georgia, Tommy Tavares of Dalton, Georgia; sisters, Vanessa Allgood of Chatsworth, Georgia, Shelva Tavares of Blairsville, Georgia. Also several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Celebration of Life for Mary will be held Sunday May 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Keith Deal and Pastor Justin Baliles officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday May 29, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour of 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
