Mr. Marvin Ray Ponders, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Friday, May 29, 2026, at his home.

Marvin was born June 5, 1959, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late C.R. and Louise Silvers Ponders. He was also preceded in death by is sisters, Geneva Miller, Arcil McGill, Cindy Green, Melinda Moreno and Joyce Miller; brothers, Bobby Ponders, Edward Ponders and Samie Junior Ponders.

Marvin is survived by a son, Cecil Andrew (Andy) Ponders; step-daughter, Ashley and Kevin Martin; grandchildren, Cody Ponders, Logan Ponders, Kaedyn Martin, and Isaiah West; great-grandchildren, Yaretzi Ponders and Memphis Ponders, Hermione Ponders; brother, Billy and Betty Ponders; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services held at this time.
