Mr. Marvin "Dewayne" Ketchem, 58, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon in Lafayette, Georgia. Dewayne was born January 18, 1960 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Joe Farris and Lois Irene Gilbert Ketchem. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ketchem.

He is survived by his children, Jon and Amanda Ketchem of Mississippi, Timothy Ketchem and Will Schmerge of Atlanta, GA, Ashley and Joshua Taylor, Natasha Bowers of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Charlie Kennedy of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Payton Simmons, Riley Ketchem, Aiden Ketchem, Brogan Ketchem, Zander Crider, Joshua Taylor Jr., Wade Wilcox; great grandchild, Sawyer; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Marvin "Dewayne" Ketchem will be held Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
