Mr. Marvin Willard Adams, age 91, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life on Friday,
October 3, 2025, at his residence.

Marvin was born on September 12, 1934, in St. Helena, California, the son of the late
Willard and Eunice Fleming Adams. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife,
Lila Moore Adams; grandson, Veteran Tylor Everett; sister, Yvonne Adams; and
brothers, Tom Adams and Lawrence Adams.

Marvin was a lifelong and devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He
was a man of deep faith, strength, and compassion. Known for his patience, kindness,
and generosity, Marvin found joy in helping others and spent countless hours
volunteering at his church's food bank. He often used his truck to deliver food to those
in need throughout the community.

A talented handyman, Marvin could fix just about anything and took pride in his
independence. Though sometimes stubborn, his determination and resilience were
a hallmark of his character.

Marvin established his successful business, Adams Trucking, which he operated for
more than 30 years before passing it down to family. He earned multiple safety
awards from each contracted carrier he worked with throughout his career—
achievements he took great pride in.

He is survived by his children: sons Michael (Todd) and Beth Adams of Resaca, GA; Tim
and Jane Adams of Whitesburg, GA; and daughter Teresa and Robert Harris of
Calhoun, GA. Grandchildren: Michael Adams, Devin Adams, Seth Adams, Deo Rhudy,
Morelia Adams and Zachery Adams. Great-grandchild: Raelyn Adams. He was also
eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new great-grandchild, Monty Adams.

Services to celebrate Marvin's life will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
from the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Calhoun, Georgia. Michael Adams, Devin
Adams, Seth Adams, Deo Rhudy, Zachery Adams, Drew Adams, and Trevor Adams
will be serving as pallbearers.

Visitation for the family will be from 1:00–1:30 p.m., and for guests from 1:30 until the
service hour. He will be laid to rest at Gordon Memorial Gardens beside his wife with a
private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local food bank in
honor of Marvin.
