Mrs. Martis "Marti" Janell Priest Kelley, age 75, of Calhoun, GA, entered the gates of Heaven and was welcomed by her Savior, Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the local hospital, with her loving family at her bedside. Marti was born December 12, 1941 in Pickens County, GA, the daughter of the late Milton Priest and Mellene Anderson Priest. Marti worked many years in the nursing field, working twenty-six years at Gordon County Hospital, Morning Point Assisted Living and started in career at Watkins Memorial Hospital in Ellijay, GA. Marti loved to read, cook, sew and most of all loved to take care of others.

Mrs. Martis "Marti" Janell Priest Kelley is survived by her husband, Joseph "Pete" Kelley; sons, Reed (Rosa ) Williams of Ramhurst, GA, Tommy (Sabrina) Golden of Calhoun, GA; daughters, Cindy (Kevin) Kinsey of Plainville, GA, Cara (Joel) Wright of Calhoun, GA; brother, James ( Diane) Priest of Talking Rock, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Cline, Casey Abernathy, Joseph Cline, Brandon Cline, Candice Cline, Alan Williams, Natasha Kinsey, Matthew Williams, Hunter Hamilton, Benjamin Golden and Jordan Golden and twenty-two great grandchildren; niece, Lori Moles (Jason) of Talking Rock, GA.

The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Martis "Marti" Janell Priest Kelley will be held, Monday January 9, 2017 at 11:00 from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Fred McCoy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Pickens County, GA, with Chris Cline, Joseph Cline, Tyler Cochran, Kovan Serritt, Kegan Serritt, and Matthew Williams serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Thursday January 5, 2017 and Friday January 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel.
