Mrs. Martha Jean Gentry , age 84, of Rossville, GA, departed this life, Friday April 9, 2021. Martha was born January 13, 1937, in Rocky Face, GA, the daughter of the late Shields Davis and Rosa Hasty Davis. She was preceded in death by husband Roy Leon Gentry. Martha worked for many years at Professional Pharmacy.

Martha is survived by her son, Robert and Judy Gentry of Charleston, TN; daughter, Kathy Smith of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Mandy Gazaway, April Hayes, Malissa Rolen, Steven Elders, Vicki Elders; great-grandchildren, Mason Driscoll, Steven Elders Jr, Chloe Elders, Casey Elders, Hannah Trammell, Kimberly Trammell, Charity Trammell, Amariah Trammell, Bailey Hayes, Madison Rolen, Aden Rolen and Israel Smith.

Service to celebrate the life of Martha will be held Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary Lewis officiating. She will be interned next to her husband Roy Leon Gentry at Mill Creek Cemetery with Allen Elders, Allen Winters, Ross West, Steven Elders Jr, Steven Elders Sr, Camron miller serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday April 13, 2021 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m.

Due to the national health crisis and the Covid – 19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
