Mr. Marshall Strange Pangle, age 79, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, August 12, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Marshall was born July 1, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a son of the late, Douglas Strange and Marjorie Clementine Love Pangle.  He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Nealy and Susie Pangle and Thomas and Laura Love, his brothers and sister-in-law, Richard and Wanda Pangle and Arthur Pangle, a sister, Laura Jewell Cabe and nephews, Bradley Kerbaugh and Joseph Pangle.

Marshall loved making a garden during the summer months and collecting Coca Cola Memorabilia.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fay Warren Pangle of the residence and just celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary on July 1, 2023; sons and daughters-in-law, John Thomas and Lisa Pangle of Trenton, GA, Michael and Mary Pangle of Cohutta, GA, and Kenneth and Penny Pendergrass of Dalton, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Blevins of Cohutta, GA, Annette and Joel Gooch of Suches, GA, and Tammy Renee Grizzle of Dahlonega, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Sutton of Boston, MA, Tina and Dewayne Evans, Carolyn and Larry Styles, Susan and Donald Green all of Dalton, GA, and Dorothy and Richard Faith of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Jacob Gooch, Amber Gooch, Eli Gooch, Dillon Grizzle, Chase Grizzle, Megan Pendergrass, Gage Pendergrass, Jonathan Pangle, Jordan Pangle and Nicky Cross; great-grandchildren, Jackson Pendergrass, Wrenley Fowler, Lane Grizzle, McKenzie Gooch, Nicoli Cross and Clara Grizzle; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Marshall Strange Pangle will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Wayne Cofield and Reverend Randy Deal officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum with Kenneth Pendergrass, Gage Pendergrass, Derrick Fowler, Shawn Bush, Richard Green and Nathaniel Owens honored to serve as pallbearers. Drake Fowler and Michael Pangle will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
