Mark Anthony Stanley age 57 of Ellijay, GA, departed this life Sunday January 3, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1963 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, John Harrison Stanley.

He is survived by his husband, Jay Allan Laird of the residence; daughters and son-in-law, Linsey Kathianne Carroll of Rocky Face, GA, Elisabeth Anne and Derek Beavers of Chatsworth, GA; mother, Ramouth Ann Waters of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Marilyn Stanley, Johnny Stanley of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Wyatt Carroll, Lakelyn Carroll, Isaac Beavers, Elisa Beavers; many special friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

Service to celebrate the life of Mark Anthony Stanley will be held Thursday January 7, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Raymond Turnbull officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
