Mr. Marion "Hunky" Everett Patty, age 80, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life, Monday February 11, 2019. He was born August 26, 1938 in Centre, Alabama, a son of the late Jasper and Eulee Patty. He was also preceded in death by his wife Virginia Fay Patty, daughter, Pamela Ann Townsend. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved to metal detect and was an avid Civil War Collector.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Robert Marquardt of Tunnel Hill, GA, Rhonda Patty of Cumming, GA, Randall Townsend of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Bayley Hannah Marquardt, Ashley Nicole Marquardt of Tunnel Hill, GA, Evelyn Fay Townsend of Dalton, GA, Brandy, Felisha and Dennis Long of Cumming, GA.; special dog, Mutt Mutt.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Marion "Hunky" Everett Patty will be held Saturday February 16, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
