Mr. Mario Abraham Marroquin, age 19, of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life, Saturday September 4, 2021, in Panama City Beach, Florida, as the results of a drowning accident.  Mario was born December 4, 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was a 2020 graduate of Calhoun High School and was employed by Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luis Marroquin Figeroa and Maria Antonia Zelada.

He is survived by his parents, Abraham Marroquin and Sulman Mariceli Barrios de Marroquin of Calhoun, GA; brothers, Luis David Marroquin of Calhoun, GA, and Jose Antonio Marroquin; sister, Ruth Nohemi Marroquin; maternal grandparents, Gregorio Mariano Barrios Escobar and Nemecia Lucila Juarez de Barrios all of San Marcos, Guatemala; his girlfriend, Maymie Lyons of Calhoun, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Mario Abraham Marroquin will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Pastor Erick Ralec officiating.  His family and close friends will serve as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.

Additional services and entombment will be in Necropoli Municipal, Ciudad Tecun Uman City, San Marcos, Guatemala, CA.
