Obituary

Marilee Goldfarb Kodsi, a resident of Alexian Village since 2008, passed away on September 22nd.  She moved to Signal Mountain with her husband, Joseph, after having lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for forty years.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph, her two sons, Neil and Matthew, her two daughters-in-law, Clarice and Angela and her three grandchildren, Samantha, Devin and Jessica.  She is also survived by her brother, Hilliard T. Goldfarb, and her sister, Sharon Kursman.

Marilee was a member of Temple Israel in Charlotte for forty years and was a member of B'Nai Zion Synagogue in Chattanooga since 2009.  Marilee was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1940. She had a true passion for her initial work as a math teacher. After leaving teaching, she started tutoring and eventually became one of the most respected math tutors in Charlotte. Marilee was well known for her gift of gab and loved to refer to herself as "Gabby."  She was a fixture at Alexian Village as a frequent volunteer, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held, Friday September 23, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from B'Nai Zion cemetery with Rabbi Rotenberg officiating.
