Mrs. Marie Bonner Woodson, age 92, of Cartersville, Georgia, departed this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her home.

Marie was born May 8, 1932, in Carbon Hill, Alabama, a daughter of the late, Ellis and Ethel Lynn Bonner.  She was also preceded death by her husband, Reverend John Franklin Woodson, sons, Reverend Harold F. Woodson and Reverend Larry D. Woodson, and her only sister, Sue Bonner.

Marie was a homemaker, pastor's wife and church mother.

She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Linda Woodson of Cartersville, GA, and Joan Thurman Woodson of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Lisa and John Custer, Bryan and Ruth Woodson, Keith Woodson, Lana Woodson and LaDonna Woodson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Iris Bonner of Carbon Hill, AL, and Donald and Shirley Bonner of Jasper, AL; special caregivers who opened their home and loved and cared for Marie, Linda Woodson and her sister, Pam Sherrell both of Cartersville, GA; twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Marie Bonner Woodson will be held, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Gardens, in Greensboro, North Carolina, with Reverend Barry Garland officiating. Mrs. Marie Bonner Woodson will be entombed with her beloved husband, Reverend John F. Woodson at the Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
