Mrs. Marie Pippin French, age 86 of Palm Harbor, Florida, and formerly of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday evening, February 28, 2014 at Coral Oaks Assisted Living in Palm Harbor, Florida, after several years of declining health from Alzheimer's. Marie was born August 22, 1927 in Cherokee County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Roy Lee and Elsie Mae Gibson White. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Worley, Harry C. Pippin and Charles E. French, a grandson, Josh Worley and a sister, Louise Sneed. Marie worked in banking most of her working life and retired from Hardwick Bank. She was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Vicki Worley of Dallas, NC, Timothy and Paula Worley of Waxhaw, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and James Brennan Saratoga, CA, Gayla and John Bradley of Tarpon Springs, FL; brothers, Frank White of Shelby, NC, Tommy White of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Helen Thomas, Betty Beatty both of Gastonia, NC, and Faye Pendleton of Dallas, NC; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Marie Pippin French will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Lee Ayers officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with her close family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday until the service hour.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 922 E. Morris St., Dalton, GA, 30721, or to a Hospice of your choice.
