Mrs. Marie Dunagan-Glass, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, December, 8, 2013 to intern with God, our Great Physician. She was born January 31, 1934 in Fort Valley, GA, a daughter of the late James Dillard "J.D." and Bessie Marie Harden Whittington. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Wallace and George Whittington. Her strong loving and compassionate nature led her to become a LPN. Her career included the special care nursery at Hamilton Medical Center, Pediatric Services of America, Georgia Highlands and did private duty nursing until retiring in 2012. She was a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by the love of her life Richard Monroe Dunagan and they had 8 children, 6 daughters and 2 sons.

She is survived by Mary Dunagan Ward, George "Pete" Dunagan of Corpus Christi, TX, Luanne Dunagan, Lawanna Dunagan Headrick, Ricky and Cathy Dunagan Swiney, Frankie Dunagan Kinsey, Phil and Angie Dunagan, Steve and Vicki Dunagan Fisher; 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, special friends Gordon and Loretta Lance. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Seals Glass.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Marie Dunagan-Glass will be held Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Alfred Turley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
