Mrs. Marie Harrison Brinkley, age 94 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the local hospital.  She was born October 21, 1927, in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Banksy Hayes Satterfield.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Harrison; second husband, Albert Brinkley; son, Mike Harrison; and sisters, Virginia Travillian Elsberry and Eloise Greenway.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Harrison; daughter-in-law, Kathy Harrison; sisters, Pauline Sims and  Edith Stewart Herron, all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Julie and John Farmer of Chatsworth, GA, and Kristi and Craig Blackwell of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Kaitlen Newton (Cody), Braiden Springfield (Deliah), and River Blackwell.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Marie Harrison Brinkley will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Reverends Bruce Beach and Randy Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday . Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Randy Greenway, Rick Greenway, Craig Blackwell, Braiden Springfield, Greg Stewart, and River Blackwell serving as pallbearers.
