Mrs. Maria Belen Velazquez age 77 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday December 21, 2019 at the Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was born January 11, 1942 in Guanajuato, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her mother, Domingo Lopez Silvia, sons, Armando Velazquez Lopez, Serafin Velazquez Lopez, daughter, Rocio Lourdes Velazquez Lopez, brothers, David, Olegano and Jaime Lopez, sisters, Anita and Aurora Lopez.

She is survived by her husband, Avelino Velazquez Flores; father, Bernardino Lopez Espitia; sons, Gustavo Velazquez Lopez, David Alejandro Velazquez Lopez; daughters, Yrma Velazquez Lopez, Rosario Velazquez Lopez, Rogelia Velazquez Lopez, Maria Carmen Velazquez Lopez, Maria Belen Velazquez Lopez, Yolanda Velazquez Lopez, Maria Rosario Velazquez Lopez; brothers, Carmen Lopez, Luis Lopez, Ismael Lopez, David Lopez, Guadalupe Lopez, Hector Lopez; sisters, Odilia Lopez, Adelina Lopez; 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday December 30, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. from the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paul Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday December 28, 2019 and Sunday December 29, 2019. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
