Mrs. Maria Luisa Serrato Luna, age 36 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Tuesday December 14, 2021 at the local hospital. She was born January 11, 1985 in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her father, Moises Serrato, mother, Maria Luisa Luna Medina. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Everyone who met Luisa was filled with the very love of God. Her radiant smile showed her servant heart, always ready to help and desiring to assist with everything that would give glory to Jesus. She gave her motherly heart fully to each little one she met. Luisa could see the beauty in all and praised God without ceasing never letting others know of her physical pains and spiritual battles because she wanted others to see it is possible to rejoice in the Lord at all times. She truly understood what it means to be blessed and set an excellent example of how to live with grace, May this Warrior of Christ enjoy eternal life in heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Hugo Diaz of the residence; stepfather, Mario Sanchez, sisters, Maria Del Carmen Serrato Luna and Benito Rodriguez, Lilian Denisse Sanchez Luna and fiancé Gabriel Villafuerte, Hailey Victoria Sanchez Luna; grandmother, Herlinda Media; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends that became family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday December 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paul Williams officiating. At her request she will be cremated after the service.

The family will receive friends Thursday December 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
