Mrs. Maria Socorro Sandoval De Meraz, age 71, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the local hospital. She was born July 4, 1942 in Mexico a daughter of the late Francisco Sandoval and Jesus Mendoza.

She is survived by her husband, Narciso Meraz of Mexico; her children and their spouses, Alicia Meraz and Steven Rodriguez, Narciso Meraz Jr. and Maggy Meraz, Francisco Meraz all of Dalton, GA, Maria Meraz and Samir Aoroaha of Phoenix, AZ, Guadalupe Meraz, Antonio and Liz Meraz of California, Andrez Meraz, Catalina Meraz and Blas Lara, Juan Meraz, Ernesto Meraz, Jesus Meraz all of Mexico; fourteen brothers and sisters, sixty five grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
