Ms. Maria Guadalupe Roman De Valdes, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, December 12, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 23, 1932 in Mexico, a daughter of the late Pedro Roman Robledo and Maria De Jesus Garcia De La Riva. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raul Valdez, five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rosendo and Lidia Olincatl Valdez, Raul and Florencia Valdez, Roberto Valdez, Felipe and Griselda Valdez; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolina Valdes and Paulino Liquidano, Virginia Valdez, Lorena Mendoza and Francisco Mendoza, Maria Guadalupe Valdez and Miguel Garcia; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held Friday December 16, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
