Maria Leonor Perez-Valderrama, 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was born on May 27, 1937 in Santiago De Chuco, Peru, a daughter of Socrates Perez and Luz Valderrama.

Survivors include her children, Santiago, Tula, Luis and Reyna, Harold, Judith and Enrique; and thirteen grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 after 10:00 A.M until 9:00 P.M.  At 5:30 P.M. a ceremony to celebrate the life of Maria Leonor Perez-Valderrama will take place in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.

The family will also receive visitors on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.

To fulfill her wishes, following the services she will be cremated.  The family requests in lieu of flowers or gifts, they ask all concerned friends to perform an act of kindness to another human being in her memory.
