Mrs. Margrett Elizebeth Lumpkin Wofford, age 89, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday afternoon, June 6, 2022. She was born August 20, 1932 in Dalton, GA a daughter of the late Johnny and Bertha Ray Lumpkin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John "Spank" Wofford, brother Henry Lumpkin, sons, James Wofford, Roy Wofford, Ed Wofford, grandsons, Tommy Defore, John Wofford, great grandsons, Logan Walden, DJ Wofford.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Dan Bohannon of Calhoun, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Devon Wofford of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Gazaway of Dalton, GA; daughters-in-law, Robin Wofford and Odessa Hooper; two special granddaughters, Hannah Holmes and Melesa Williams who cared for her; 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 47 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margrett Elizebeth Lumpkin Wofford will be held Thursday June 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Adam Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Tilton Baptist Church Cemetery with Lamar Wofford, Seth Bohannon, Ryan Stinson, Zach Bramblett, Nathaniel Green, and Josh Wofford serving as pallbearers.
