Mrs. Margie Arleen Poteet, 66, of Ranger, Georgia, and formerly of Dalton, GA, departed this life on Friday evening, April 27, 2018 at local hospital. She was born February 6, 1952 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Grady and Betty Sissom King.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ray Poteet of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Ray and Sandy Poteet of Chatsworth, GA, Larry and Diane Poteet of Dalton, GA; daughter, Rita Ann Poteet of Ranger, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Starleen Tawney of Albany, GA, Darlene and Larry Russell of Dalton, GA; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margie Arleen Poteet will be held Sunday April 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
